In the icon explorer from the left panel, you can view imported icons in different sizes. Similarly, you can change icon for DLL, RES, etc. The icon of the opened program file will be changed.
Finally, click on File > Save As option to save new icon. You can also change icon for EXE file to icon of EXE, DLL, or RES file In the new window, you can select an ICO file to change icon for executable. Now, go to Action menu and click on Replace Icon, or you can simply press hotkey CTRL + R. Go to File menu > Open option, and open an EXE file. Head over to the Compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator option. Right-click the problematic exe file and choose Properties from the menu. 
Force the application to run with administrative privileges Note: If this solves your problem, you’ll need to repeat this process every time you want to run that exe file.
